Whether it is the people I am working with, the events I run/attend or the businesses and suppliers I meet and collaborate with, ultimately for me, it is all about showcasing and shouting about the best the South West has to offer to locals and visitors to the region.
I grew up at the foot of the Quantock Hills, lived in a few towns in Somerset, then moved to Bath 7 years ago. I have no idea what the outcome and impact of Brexit will be, so I have decided to focus on what I can influence, to make a difference to our local economy, businesses, people and communities.
Interesting times...My career mission, plan and commitment for the next decade is to support economic development throughout the South West in retail, food & drink and tourism. I currently do this through the work of SweetSkills Ltd, Cool Ventures Ltd, along with my new venture, Sweet Gin & Fizz.
What can you do to help? A few small actions can make a big difference...so please follow and support me and others on our journey. Just a few ideas on how you can do this...
Buy & Support Local:
Shop from independent local businesses both offline and online
Eat and drink at independently owned restaurants, bars and pubs
Have a holiday this year on your doorstep, make time to explore the beautiful region you live in.
Buy locally produced food and drink wherever and whenever you can!
Buy from the Sweet Gin & Fizz shop at www.sweetginandfizz.com, profits during 2019-2020 will be reinvested to promote and sell locally produced drinks at events and shows across the South West.
Like and share my posts on LinkedIn if they interest you and others of course

I will reciprocate in social media to help spread the word about you too, especially if you are in the South West and in Retail, Food, Drink and Tourism.
