Following my last blog post 2 weeks ago about Love Local…see I told you, they would come through and shine where and when they can – the local small business! The supermarkets have become a less desirable place to want to be, saddens me to see the cafes, restaurants, bars and shops shut, a city that I love so much, Bath, now sleeps.
I am overwhelmed by how small businesses are doing everything they can, not only to stay alive but able to quickly adapt, change and diversify in this ever-changing world to meet the needs of people at such an unprecedented and difficult time. The local community is incredible - meat boxes, fruit & veg boxes, daily essentials such as milk, eggs, bread. I am totally blessed to live in this County of Somerset, to be connected to some of the finest food and drink producers – everything I desire to keep me going is right here, on my doorstep.
You really are going to need local food and drink producers and they are going to need you, not just now, but when this is all over. I have been watching so many of them from afar, on social media, working incredibly hard to get their products produced and dispatched to your door by delivery or courier where they can.
I know who to contact to get the best in Somerset, do you? Feel free to add any to my list! I consider these my essential suppliers for the past two weeks and the weeks ahead.

Scotch Eggs – Nutts Scotch Eggs, W-S-M
